EDMONTON -- A man accused of killing his sister-in-law has been
ordered to undergo a second psychiatric assessment.
Ken Butler is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Stephanie Butler
last April.
Butler is also charged in the savage beating of a cab driver the same day.
His first psychiatric assessment came back this week but it was inconclusive.
Butler's family says he has a history of violent, erratic behaviour, mental
health issues and drug addiction. End

EDMONTON - Saying that the results of a psychiatric assessment have been inconclusive, an Edmonton man charged with killing his sister-in-law has been ordered to undergo another battery of tests. Ken Butler is charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of 25-year-old Stephanie Butler, whose body was found in her home April 7th. He's also charged in the beating of a cab driver the same day. End

far as I knew, Ken was just smoking weed," Butler says. Looking back,
Michael now realizes that by the time Ken was 14 or 15, he had graduated to
cocaine and was masterfully concealing an all-consuming drug problem.
